Purpose & implementation
A profile you can carry
SocialCard is a JavaFX desktop application for writing digital profiles or direct HTTPS links to writable NFC cards. A profile contains a name, an optional description, and labelled links.
From desktop to card to browser
The writer encodes the profile in the URL fragment of an NDEF URI record. A static viewer reads that fragment and displays the profile without a profile API or database. Reader communication uses Java Smart Card I/O and APDU commands.
The application checks capacity before writing and reads the data back to verify each write. Background hardware operations keep the JavaFX interface responsive.
Keeping responsibilities clear
The controller delegates writing to a service interface. The application separates the presentation, service, application, and domain responsibilities, with FXML defining the views.
The project brings together hardware communication, data encoding, and a browser-based viewer in one practical workflow.
